For thousands of years, people’s happiness has always been the persistent pursuit of the ultimate goal. For the study of the problem has been happy ethicists are one of the most important research topics, whileChinese people pursuing his or her happiness they talk about KangYouwei who is thought to be the most authoritative person of Utopianthinker in China. Standing at the crossing of societal and valuestransformation in Modern China society, Kang Youwei studied thehappiness for the whole human beings from the point of societalrevolution rather than the point of a single person’s happiness. The coreidea throughout Kang’s happiness is humanitarianism based onpeople-oriented and the ultimate aim of his happiness theory is to reachGreat Harmony. It is also a thought of utilitarianism and hedonism and ispowered by the thought of Going to the pain to strive for happy. Thetheory is centered by humanitarianism including freedom, equality anduniversal love. Although it is more likely idealism and cannot solvestrained relationship between equality and freedom, morality andhappiness, this theory deconstruct the traditional Confucianism happinessof pursue the morality and abandon the joy in a view include theoreticalbasis, values, fate of ideal. Not only does it make the human natureback to where it belongs to, but it starts a new chapter of ChinaModernization.
