A Study On Conference Consecutive Interpreting Strategies Under The Guidance Of Skopostheory

As China’s reform and opening-up deepens, its national power is on the rise. China’s performance on the worldwide arena is arresting the attention of the media throughout the global community. Hence lectures directed by Chinese national leaders at conferences have played a vital role, bridging the channel of communication between the west and the orient. The interpretation presented by interpreters may as well become one of the focuses under the spotlights. This dissertation, with the theoretical basis of Skopostheory, analyzes and discusses the interpreting skills and strategies in the C-E consecutive interpretation at conferences.
