Paper-cut Art Form In The Application Of Modern Decorative Design Research

The rapid development of our country’s social level and the increasinglyfrequent external exchanges, tendencies of internationalization and cultural diversityhave become more apparent. Foreign design is impacting our native design and if thenative design wants to keep a foothold on the international stage, it has to showcharacteristics of traditional Chinese culture and integrate the essence of traditionalculture in it. Paper cutting is one of the Chinese representative traditional artisticforms who has an extensive mass base and whose vivid traditional artisticcharacteristics enjoy strong flavors of life and show the traditional culture of ourcountry well. Paper cutting is also an inexhaustible resource and treasure for theChinese modern design, bringing positive influences to the modern artistic design.Only the national is the international. Combining traditional paper cutting withmodern design concept is the design idea of most domestic designers, which is thesource of their unique design styles, and also the basis to turn traditional culture intomodern design. The combination of traditional and modern, is the direction of anydesign development. Many designers are the tortuous road continuous explorationand innovation. Only based on this can Chinese modern design keep its foothold onthe international stage of design and show its unique design style. The main purposeof this research is to analyze the main features of art of paper cuts. Putting theChinese tradtional art forms into the modern decoration, in order to improve theculture intension and the humanistic care for the modern decorations. The purpose ofthe other research is to combine the practice cases, and summarize the generalprinciples of the how to engage the papercut art into the modern decorations, andthen realize the development and innovation in the area of modern decoration design.
