Study On The City Symbol Of Ganzhou Based On The Image Of The City

city symbol represents recognition of city culture by urban citizen. City symbol canarouse the public sense of the townsmen, making them active in city construction andenvironmental protection. The meaning of city symbol is to identify the city, and is one ofthe effective ways to promote the development of city. On the one hand, it helps peoplerealize the city in new level, on the other hand, it also demonstrate its developmentblueprint. As the gradual development of modern society, people play great importance tocity symbol more and more.Based on the study on semiotics theory, we went through the research on citysymbol,emphasized the importance of the city history and personality, and analyzed citysymbol from the perspective of the image of the city. The second, investigating the cityimage of Ganzhou from the perspective of urban cognition of residents, usingquestionnaires, depicting the cognitive maps, the method of photographs cognitive. Then,on the basis of the survey result, we analysis the city image of Ganzhou, pursue perceptionsand opinions about the ganzhou city of city residents, analysis the tradition city symbolsfrom the characteristic and meaning of elements of Ganzhou city image. Finally, we shouldprotect the traditional city symbol of Ganzhou and inherit them, it is basic premise of theformation of urban space characteristic, urban economic development and the urbanresidents living environment quality improvement, it is also the purpose of the thesis.From the perspective of the image of the city, I think the main tradition city symbol ofGanzhou is summarized as, urban road, Wenqing road, Hongqi avenue; urban boundary,three rivers, Wenqing road, ancient wall, Ganzhou dialect; Urban areas, the area of Ganzhouhistorical culture, the business district of Wenqing road; urban nodes, the central square ofNan Menkou, Gui Jiaowei, floating bridge; urban landmark, the tower of Yu Gu, the towerof Ba Jing, standard clock, the tower of Ci Yun. These traditional city symbols of Ganzhourepresent the city cultural characteristics, they are not only the business card of the fastdevelopment of city, but also make for inheriting city spirit and cultural.
