Research On Guan Hu Film’s Life Review

In the1990s, with the rise of the sixth-generation directors, the Chinese filmstarted to transfer from the cultural meaning and historical roots to focus on ordinarypeople’s daily lives and emotional changes. As one of the sixth generation of director,Guan Hu, his calm and insipid, objective lens to record the underlying joy and pain ofthe people, shows the difficulties encountered in life and emotional entanglements ofthe ordinary people’s life, sincerely restoring the character’s life experience.Guan Hu films always permeated with the life of perception reflecting his realhuman care. In this paper,"life" as a starting point, is used to analyze life awarenessand aesthetic significance in Guan Hu films to explain the philosophy throughin-depth analyses.This paper is divided into four parts:Chapter I explains the concept of life. First of all, the life consciousness has beendefined as real life situation of the individual concerned, understanding andperception of the value of life--the concept of life and death, and the search for thetrue meaning of existence. Secondly, analyses philosophical basis generating lifeconsciousness. Finally, briefly looks back upon life consciousness in art.Chapter II analyses the life consciousness of Guan Hu films in detail. And fromaesthetic point of view, analyses life status of the individual survival and tragedyreflected in the films related. The plight of the disadvantaged groups of women hasbeen analyzed in order to enhance understanding and grasp the life forms. Life anddeath are two most important life propositions, while war and disease are importantelements influencing on fate choice, and it will show the true humanity in face of lifeand death choice,.Chapter III analyses the artistic expressions of life consciousness of Guan’s filmsin terms of films&TV science. Section I starts from the narrative structure,discussing how the narrative structure of the films related completes the writing of life consciousness. Section II examines the meaning of life symbolizing films imageaccording to semiotics, and then analyzes how these images reflect life meditation.Chapter IV discusses the value of life examination in Guan Hu films. Not only isfilms just the reflection of social reality to provide people with entertainmentenlightenment, but also lead people into higher spiritual realm.
