Since China’s reform and opening up, along with the development of market economy, a growing number of rural surplus labors are poured into the city, we call these foreign migrant workers "Exotic Employed Personnel". As more and more Exotic Employed Personnel poured into the city, their children have became a special group in the city. Because of the differences in education level and culture, they tend to have problems in terms of self-acceptance and self-respect, which will further affect their mental health.Based on the psychological characteristics of the children of migrant workers, this research measured the differences between the children of migrant workers and the local children in self acceptance, self-esteem and mental health. And further investigate the role of the self esteem in the relationship of self acceptance and mental health. The study adopted the questionnaire survey method, using China middle school student mental health scale (MMHI) of Wang Ji Sheng, Self Acceptance Questionnaire (SAQ) of Cong Zhong, GaoWen Feng and the Self-Esteem Scale(SES) of Rosenberg. In several of the migrant workers children school in Tianjin city,545questionnaires were distributed, among which506questionnaires were valid,39were invalid. The conclusions are as follows:(1) The children of migrant workers and local students in self acceptance, self esteem and mental health are not significantly different.(2) The children of migrant workers in the group of self acceptance dimensions exist gender differences, in the self evaluation, adaptation, there are different grades of mental balance of dimensions.(3) The children of migrant workers groups, self-esteem, self acceptance has positive prediction on paranoia, hostility, interpersonal sensitivity, depression, psychological imbalance, the overall level of mental health.(4) Self acceptance and self-esteem on the mental health of paranoia, hostility, interpersonal sensitivity, depression, the general level of mental health plays an intermediary role. According to the research conclusion, suggestions for the mental health education of migrant workers are as follows.(1) A good family education is very important.(2) Improving the education system, improving education situation will change the status.(3) To strengthen the psychological health education of the children of migrant workers is a pressing matter of the moment.
