The Reserch Of Four-Syllable Words In 6th Edition Modern Chinese Dictionry

Four syllable words in modern Chinese vocabulary system is an important component. In this paper, we collect the four syllable words from the 6th edition Standard Dictionary "Modern Chinese Dictionary".This article investigate and analyze four syllable words in modern Chinese dictionary.Then combine the theory lexicology and lexicography.discusse the general characteristics of dictionary words and revised terms of income.The first part of this article is "Modern Chinese" four syllable word labeling classification research and treatment from the perspective of dictionary words.And summarizes the characteristics of the words from the phonetic, interpretation, including individual words Flaws. The second part focus on four syllables from the source and industry jargon term for a more detailed classification, and pointed out the similarities and differences. The third part invsetigate the four syllables sayings, idioms and analyze the characteristics; secondly,study the formation mechanism of idiom and categorized on the basic of quantified statistics.In addition,made questioning and thinking adout the shape shifting mechanism of the idioms.In The fourth part, we used sampling survey method, compare the 5th and 6th edition of "Modern Chinese Dictionary" from A to C totally 229 pages for the scope of the investigation.compared revision of the two version about the four syllable words with the exhaustively note. From three aspects,analyze the revision of phonetic, interpretation,and shape shifting words.Try to show the basic situation of local react of the revision. Finally,we made the new words internal system data comparison and analysis, analysis the features of the new four syllable words combine the normalization of vocabulary.This paper focus on the Dictionary, quantified statistics about the four syllable words.Through crosswise and longitudinal contrast of theof data, we have the conclusion that in the four syllable words system;there is a large proportion of idioms,words is just a little part.through the analysis of the idioms shaped mechanism helps to show the modern Chinese variant idioms;finally the exhaustive examination to the "Modern Chinese Dictionary" partial revision of the situation, has certain positive significance to some extent for compiling dictionary and vocabulary standardization.
