As an important scholar in the Qing Dynasty, Gui Fu not only has a lot of academic attainments in the study of Shuo Wen Jie Zi, but also reaches a high level in his poetry and drama creations. His poetic works are born in the background of the prosperity of textology during the time of Qian Long and Jia Qing."The textual theory" represented by Weng Fangang and "the natural inspiration theory" represented by Yuan Mei collide with each other fiercely in the poetic world at that time. However, Gui Fu’s works can still strike out a new path and present a unique writing style. The identity of poet and playwright makes him regard poetry as song in the process of Zaju creation. His drama Latter Four Apes also presents obvious poetic characteristic. Based on Gui Fu’s poetry and drama, this thesis aims to explore his literary achievements and characteristics. It is divided into four parts:Chapter one is the life, family and friends of Gui Fu.Born in Qufu, the origin place of Confucian culture, the Gui family is known for its noble character and high prestige. The family also has a good learning atmosphere. At the age of thirty, Gui Fu begins to travel and make friends at the same time, which runs through his entire academic career and has a great impact on his literary creation. GuiFu literature creation has a certain influence, such as Yan Chonggui, Weng Fanggang, Zhou Yongnian etc, to research on GuiFu poetry and drama in the qing dynasty years consideration under the background of textology flourish.Chapter two is The poetry study of Gui Fu.This chapter mainly focuses on the classification of his poetry, explores its ideological content and artistic features. It also aims to analyze his tendency of using learning when writing poetry, the use of a variety of artistic skills, the art of full of tension, simple and natural expression of emotion and the narrative tendency of using story in his lyric poetry. In addition, this chapter also compares poetry of Gui Fu with the works of the contemporary famous poets Weng Fanggang and Yuan Mei. It explores his tendency of transiting from "the scholar’s poetry" to "the poet’s poem"Chapter three is The Zaju Latter Four Apes study of Gui Fu.This chapter mainly introduces the origin, theme and content and the aesthetic features of Latter Four Apes. Based on this analysis, it also compares his work with Four Apes written by the dramatist Xu Wei of Ming Dynasty. Then it explores the unique style of Latter Four Apes resulted from its inheritance and reform of Four Apes.Chapter four is a comparative study about poetry and drama of Gui Fu. This chapter focuses on the cultural background of the development of Chinese traditional poetry and drama and explores the relationship between poetry and drama in ancient China. It is also one of the predecessors to provide us with a good research perspectives. Innovation is based on the analysis of GuiFu drama "the four tones after the ape", from the perspective of poetry and drama mutual penetration, It especially focuses on the influence of the traditional poetic thinking mode on the drama creation of scholars and pays attention to the poetic phenomenon involved in drama. Based on the above discussion, this chapter also analyzes the phenomenon of "regarding drama as poetry" reflected in his Zaju Latter Four Apes. It involves three aspects. They are:the content of drama is related with poetry; the lyric of drama is consistent with the standard of poetry; and the drama techniques are similar to those of poetry.This paper uses the system analysis, comparative study and comprehensive induction, to delve into GuiFu literary creation. Innovation is based on the investigation to the GuiFu traveling GuiFu poetry and drama research under the background of textology flourish in Qing Dynasty years, so as to show the rich era characteristics of his poems with his unique personality. In addition, delving into its poetry ideological content and artistic features, and will be GuiFu poetry and contemporary famous poet WengFangGang comparing with Yuan Mei to explore the poetry creation reflected by "poem" of the economist in the tendency of transition to a "poem of the poet". Finally, based on the analysis of GuiFu drama "the four tones after the ape", from the perspective of poetry and drama mutual penetration, analyze their works reflect the song creation phenomenon, for which it never appeared in the previous study of GuiFu related in this paper.
