The Song Dynasty as a highly prosperous culture era, traditionalChinese painting has made well developed and brilliant achievements.At that time, political stability, economic prosperity, the harmoniousenvironment sets the stage for the development of poetry, literatureand painting. And the "tuiwenqiwu" of culture and education strategymakes the various cultural activities in a freedom development. Royalrulers need rich and peaceful work to achieve flatter demand, whichprompts the establishment and prosperity of the imperial-courtdecorative painting. On behalf of huangquan painter who mostlychooses the palace of exotic flowers and rare herbs, rare birds andanimals and birds painting as a theme, with fine refinement lines,vivid realism in modeling outline images, using brilliant colors tocreate a rich and peaceful scene to meet the spiritual needs of feudalimperial ruler. The civil service is good at calligraphy and poetry textwhich lived long time in the Court, to win election officials, the system made the combination of bureaucrats and scholars, which known asthe "scholar". Selection of rocks, trees, birds poultry and othercommon objects, careless pen, ink method, to paint the simple scene,give more attention to the subjective feelings. The same background,fusion techniques, different artistic characteristics forms a differenttime-style of the imperial-court decorative painting and literatipainting.The article is divided into four parts: firstly, analysis of wealthpainting academy and wild literati painting background from thesocial environment, political ideology, cultural life; secondly, analysisthe imperial-court decorative painting and literati painting from thepainting techniques, painting material and main thought; thirdly, withHuang and Xu as the representative, using the merge of two kinds ofpainting to analysis the artistic character of imperial-courtdecorative painting and literati painting; finally, analyzing the historyvalue of imperial-court decorative painting and literati painting.try todiscuss the cultural value orientation of rich painting academy andwild literati painting through those aspect.
