The Survey Of College Students’social Media Denpendence And Its Relation With Subjective Well Being

As Internet becomes more perfect and the intelligent mobile p hone’s popularity, social media,such as Facebook Twitter interna tionally, WeChat QQ space,Renren and micro-blog interiorly.has b ecome the daily used software or application.As social media com e into people’s life it has become an essential tool or a way of h aving entertainment, people’s entertainment and communication ha s gradually changed from "below the line" to "on line". These soci al media bought people convenience for communicating,but als o caused some problems,such as high delay low efficiency, compu Isive behavior.Some people think that this way of entertainment a nd communication is harmful to our life.It can undermine our healt h family relationship and mental state.So we should "put down t he social media, embrace the happiness in real life". To find out w hether this claim has its scientific basis, whether the use of soci al media has a contradiction with happiness,whether the social media bring convenience to people’s life or hinder the happiness o f people, this study redefinition the college students’ social media dependence to the psychology of "inseparable from social media" existed in most of the college students.This study designed the college students’social media dependence questionnaire, surveie d the basic situation of college students’ social media dependenc e and exploried the relationship between college students’social media dependence with subjective well-being. The conclusions are as follows:1The college students’social media dependence questionnaire edit by us has good reliability and validity. It can be used as a to ol to measure the college students’social media dependence. coll ege students’social media dependence questionnaire is consisted of seven dimensions:They are instrumental motivation psychologic al motivation, trust, differentiation, compulsive behavior,satisfied b ehavior and emotion.It’s empirical model is matching theoretical c onception model roughly.2Currently, college students’ social media dependence is in th e medium level.It has large differences between different individua ls. The total score of Social media dependence has no significan t difference in grade, compulsive behaviors and emotion has signifi cant difference in grade. The total score of Social media depende nce has no significant difference in gender, differentiation and co mpulsive behavior has significant difference in sex. The scores of boys were significantly higher than those of girls in differentiation and compulsive behavior. There was no significant difference in t he total score of Social media dependence in professional, compul sive behavior has significant difference in professional, the arts s tudents score of compulsive behaviors was significantly higher th an the science students.3There are varying degrees of significant positive correlation between the college students’ social media dependence’score an d the total score of SWB, life satisfaction and negative emotion.Th ere is a significant positive correlation between life satisfaction an d instrumental motivation and a significantly negative correlation between positive emotion and negative emotion with instrumental motivation.Psychological motivation is significantly positively relat ed to the whole subjective well-being, life satisfaction and positiv e emotions.And there is a significant negative correlation betwee n negative emotion with psychological motivation. The sense of tr ust was significantly positively related with subjective well-being,p ositive emotion and negative emotion. Differentiation has a signific ant negative correlation with subjective well-being and a significa nt positive correlation with negative emotion exists. There is a sig nificant negative correlation between compulsive behavior and sub jective well-being and a significant positive correlation between c ompulsive behavior and negative emotion. Satisfied behavior were significantly positively related with subjective happiness general I ife satisfaction and positive emotions.There is a significant negati ve correlation with satisfied behavior and negative emotion. Emoti on was significantly positively related with positive emotion and n egative emotion.4College students’ social media denpendence has certain pre diction on subjective well-being.Psychological motivation, satisfied behavior, instrumental motivation,differentiation and compulsive b ehavior are valid predictive variables.psychological motivation an d satisfied behavior and instrumental motivation are positively pre diet,cdifferentiation and compulsive behavior are negative predicto rs.
