Preliminary Discussion On Application Of Auspicious Patterns In The Bedding Design

As the development of community economy and the improvement of living standard, people’s consumption concept has changed. In the past, people simply pay attention to material consumption, but now material consumption and spiritual consumption are both valued, there is a growing value in the cultural and psychological factors of consumer goods. Auspicious patterns are treasures of China’s traditional culture and art, they contain Chinese ideas and cultural psychology, and are still loved by the people. According to consumer psychology, we can create bedding containing Chinese traditional moral by the use of auspicious patterns. It’ll not only meet the consumption needs of consumers, but also promote the excavation, heritage, conservation and innovation of China’s traditional auspicious patterns. It is conducive to the protection of our heritage and traditional culture, the innovation of our bedding design, and the development and prosperity of our country Bedding Market.This paper studies the application of auspicious patterns [this article refers specifically to Chinese auspicious patterns, and mainly refers to the Han nationality auspicious patterns] in bedding design. Mainly through the analysis of psychological demand and consumption characteristics, select and establish appropriate auspicious theme, regroup design of auspicious element depending on the auspicious theme. And select the appropriate color, fabric and structure of the process to match for different groups, the bedding then possess a good moral relevance. Finally, different bedding gets on packaging design. To meet the preferences and needs of different groups of consumers, select the appropriate materials and processes for different groups. In the practical design I had completed more than 400 drawings,13 sets of pattern design drawings,10 sets of bedding application designs and 10 sets of bedding packaging designs in total.Ideas and framework of this paper is firstly to introduce the definition and classification of auspicious patterns, the cultural connotations and mental characteristics, the value of auspicious patterns, applications of auspicious patterns in the design, and research for auspicious patterns. Then introduce the definition and classification of bedding, bedding market research, including bedding design trends, less auspicious patterns in bedding design applications, bedding designs using auspicious patterns and other issues to consider. Then again, to study the psychological characteristics of children, youth (wedding), middle-aged, elderly and other four groups, consumer behavior, bedding and other usage requirements. The researchers then study application of auspicious patterns themes in bedding design. Finally, to introduce application examples of auspicious patterns in bedding design.In this design, some elements of the auspicious patterns are improved, application category of auspicious patterns in bedding designs is expanded, and the application of bedding designs and packaging design are more targeted.
