Yogacarabhumi, which is translated by XuanZang, has 100 volumes.It’s the foundation of Yogacara, that belongs to two schools of Mahayana Buddhism in India.However, it’s the most important book of Fa-Hsiang (法相宗) in China.Now the book which is fonud in the Dunhuang Library Cave, has two volumes that is translated by Tang monks FaCheng, not XuanZang.And besides lection in Yogacarabhumi, It also includes Notes of Yogacarabhumi and Classification of Yogacarabhumi, which is explicated by FaCheng.This article is divided into six parts, as the description of documents, the denomination of documents, the cohering of broken documents, the translation of FaCheng, the chronicle and distinguish of false.It has a comparatively comprehensive research on Yogacarabhumi in Dunhuang manuscripts.Chapter 1 introduction, that describes the situation of spread, translation and research status on Yogacarabhumi in Dunhuang manuscripts.Chapter2:description, which has a comprehensive describe about 230 pieces of Yogacarabhumi in Dunhuang manuscripts.Chapter3:denomination, denominates the pieces which is unnamed or and misapplied-named.Chapter4:cohering.There are many broken pieces of Yogacarabhumi in Dunhuang manuscripts.Through investigating, we can integrate 32 pieces to 13 groups.Chapter 5:the chronicle and distinguish of false.Most of Yogacarabhumi in Dunhuang manuscripts are Notes of FaCheng’s explanation of Yogacarabhumi, or transcribe for FaCheng’s explanation.After we investigate the time of FaCheng’s explanation, we can give a roughly chronology to the pieces, then we make it systematic.According to these chronologies, we can distinguish the false simply.Chapter6:translation of FaCheng. Vol.Ⅰ and Vol. Ⅹ in Yogacarabhumi, is translated by FaCheng.There are 4 pieces concerning Vol.Ⅰ and only 1 piece concerning Vol. Ⅹ. We can proofread Vol.Ⅰ by check one against another.As only 1 piece concerning Vol. Ⅹ, We have to lay aside it, and proofread it when we find more pieces.
