Analysis Of The Late Ming Literati Painting Style From The Mind Studies

The development of literati painting is a long process, the transformation of the identity of the artist, painting idea change, the creation theory of innovation, the evolution of painting techniques, the combined effects of these factors in each dynasty under the impetus of literati panting theory and practice continuous improvement. On the basis of former generations, paintings of Ming Dynasty show the complicated phenomenon, on one hand, inherited the essence of the previous, on the other hand, combined the politics economy and culture, showing the unique characteristics. According to the historical period of this dynasty, the development of painting was divided into three different stages, early middle and late. Especially in the late Ming Dynasty, the outbreak of cultural fields and psychology brings great impact to art. Dong Qichang –the landscape painter guides the painting style trend of the late Ming Dynasty.In the structure, the first chapter analyses the problems of the Mind theory, including the concept, the development process and the relationship between the text form and spirit connotation. The second chapter analyses the background of the late Ming Dynasty, political structure, culture structure and psychology structure of literati. The third chapter is the focus of this paper, the style characteristic of Dong Qichang’s painting is analyzed. Based on the last chapters, the fourth chapter of this paper is trying to provide the cases to analysis the influence of psychology on the three significant style features in his painting career.Although the late Ming Dynasty painting is various, the law of the development of the literati painting is not untraceable. Through the internal relations of the late Ming Dynasty and the painting styles of the master, this paper is trying to find out the influence on literati painting.
