Since 2000, the issue of identity recognition has become one of the most important academic topic in minority film. Under the sweeping of globalization, minority whose cultures and identities are at a disadvantage is suffering a fracture of the life experience and turbulence of belief. Since the new century, there has been an urgent problem to be solved, which is how to build a new method of ethnic identity. With the advantages of excellent visibility and communication, films about minority have been not only in favor of self-reflection,self-realization and self-master, but also the concern on the ethnic situation and development.The image expression of ethnic identity crisis focuses on three dimension sets: the beauty of hometown is no longer inhabited by ethnic groups, ethnic memory is forgotten; legality of identity by ethnic national of Indians living is ambiguous; under the double threat of self-identity confusion and crisis in ethnic identity, minority teenagers struggles and exploring with their own power, trying to open up more possibilities for the future of the nation mechanisms in crisis. In addition, at the time the filmmakers expressing their deep sorrow of the ethnics survival and development, they also actively build the contemporary minority identity. Minority language,ceremony of the training and epic myth are three unique aspects of the ethnic memory, which play an important role in the film to participate in the process of building a national identity. On the path of dealing with identity recognition crisis, film does not only promote the construction of minority area’s aesthetics, but also push the revival of traditional culture, enriching aesthetic quality of the minority film eventually.
