The Images And Identities Of Chongqing People In Movies

Today's society is in the rapid development of network information age,the emergence of massive information has brought some troubles of social discrimination and identity to the people.With the rise of modern consumer culture,it also has impact on people's values.That makes people have a certain identity crisis while proceeding self-identity.Since becoming a municipality,Chongqing has increasingly become one of the focus which is paid attention to at home and abroad,the identity of self-consciousness of people in Chongqing has been gradually established and strengthened at this time.Movies and other media provide important intermediaries and references to self-cognition and implement identity through paying attention to Chongqing people and create images of them.In order to explore the status of this series,we raise two questions in this study.First,how domestic movies present the images of Chongqing people since it became a municipality and what images are showed through the construction of the movies?The second is whether Chongqing people recognize the images or not and what do they think of the identity,and what's the factors which can affect the identity.This study is based on the theory of identity, try to assess and analyze the status of implementing self-identity of Chongqing people through the movie images. The focus is to establish a connection which is reflecting the status of Chongqing people's self-identity by referring to the movie images, provides a useful attemp of self-cognition and identity to the individual through the media images both from the theory and practice.Firstly,selecting the movie samples which are worth of researching,do the preliminary statistics generalization of the Chongqing people's images in the samples with the method of Content Analysis.Secondly, according to the certain classification criteria,use the method of text analysis to those representative samples to make the depth classification and analysis of the Chongqing,then obtain a certain movie image of Chongqing people and include it in the questionnaire.Thirdly,conducting a questionnaires to Chongqing locals,evaluate the status of identity that they think about the certain movie image of Chongqing people,and attempt to analyze the status of identity during the process of contacting with these movie images.Finally,according to the literature and theoretical analysis,discuss the reasons why Chongqing people present this kind of status and have a try to offering some corresponding strategies.Through the conclusion,firstly, we can find that movie is able to creat lots of Chongqing people's images with its capacity of constructing social reality.And along with the Chongqing symbol,Chongqing dialect,etc.,which are exhibited in the movies,all of those can provide references for self-cognition and help Chongqing people to achieve confirmation and delivery of the identity.The Chongqing people acknowledge much about the images which are constructed by movies. Nonetheless,there are also some parts they can't agree.There are several reasons about that. First, movie is a social tool which is able to construct society.When it's building the meaning,it can be affected by other factors,such as artistic effect,the social reflection of director,etc.,which are likely to influence the reproduction of social reality.Second, when Chongqing people get in contact with these movie images and receive the senses that the images passed, they will have their own rational judgment,combine with these images for identification, negotiation or even refusion.At last,the identity of Chongqing people exist a certain of Identity crisis,this situation may be coursed by some reason just like Chongqing directly under or network informationization.How to get out of its difficulties may require the effort of the personal, social, media, and other aspects of the effort.
