“Zen culture” as a kind of religious culture that has a strong historical, regional, and national character and has important influence on people’s lives in various fields for a long time. The “Zen culture” is the traditional "Zen" in the new interpretation of the contemporary. On the one hand, “Zen culture ” in contemporary is jumping out of the category of religious thought,taking place on the connotation and denotation of change and has important influence on cultural industry today. On the other hand, it inherited the content of "Zen" in traditional and response to the modern psychological needs. This paper is about the study of "Zen culture" in contemporary based on the perspective of cultural industry. Firstly, it examines the interaction between "Zen culture" in contemporary and the production and consumption of cultural through the analysis of specific case. Secondly, it is the analysis of the difference between the "Zen culture" in contemporary and in traditional. Thirdly, it reveals the significance of "Zen culture" in contemporary about the connotation of daily cultural in consumerism, inform with the traditional culture and the optimization of national culture resources. In the end, it is the basis and reference of the study of the contemporary transformation about "Zen culture".
