| Sanyan is the joint name of three novels written in colloquial language of MingDynasty, and it is the representative work of this time. It has profound linguistic valuebecause of the grammar and oral language included in these novels.Historically speaking, the preposition system of Sanyan has been very developed andrepresents the characteristic of this time. On the other hand, the preposition system ofSanyan is in the process of changing from archaic Chinese to modern Chinese. Therefore,many problems of grammaticalization could be solved in the foundation of studyingSanyan.Being the subject of this thesis, the preposition system is divided into five categories,which are preposition of position and time, preposition of subject and range, prepositionof way, preposition of reason and aim, preposition of disposition and passivity. First ofall, the quantitative analysis of preposition is conducted. Secondly, thegrammaticalization research is carried out. Last but not least, the overall situation ofpreposition of Yuan and Ming Dynasty is concluded to illustrate the development ofpreposition. |
