With China’s rapid economic growth, the living standard of Chinese people has been improved dramatically. Chinese consumers show more and more interest in the luxury goods when their consumption boom has been fueled by the increase of their income. As a result, foreign luxury brands have marched into China and taken the Chinese market as one of their important developing markets. To prevent foreign big brands from monopolizing China’s luxury goods markets, domestic jewelry brands should learn from the successful marketing skills and experiences of foreign brands. Meanwhile, being aware of both their own and foreign brands’deficiencies contributes to the development of the domestic brands and China’s jewelry industry development.This report describes the translation practice on the development status and prospects of China’s jewelry industry. The first chapter consists of the descriptions and introduction of the author’s pre-translation preparations, the translation strategies and post-translation issues in this task. The author then takes an adequate analysis of the theory and techniques used in the translation process in some translation cases. The last chapter is the summary of the inspirations and deficiencies of this translation practice.
