Objective: The aim of this paper is to discuss the theoretical structure of the economy independence on adolescent students preliminary; develop the adolescent students scale of economy independence, and test the reliability and validity of the scale at the same time, which provide economy independence assessment tools for adolescent students; exam the present situation and characteristics of adolescent students’ economy independence.Methods: According to the related theory, with reference to the teenagers’ independent assessment tools, putting forward teenagers economic self-reliance theory model preliminary on the basis of open questionnaire and interview, and forming a pre-test questionnaire. Make the teenagers’ economic self-reliance formal questionnaire through the project analysis and exploratory factor analysis. Investigate 1300 adolescent students in the areas of Changsha city, Changde city, Chenzhou city and Yiyang city, test reliability and validity of questionnaire, and analysis the confirmatory factor at the same time, and to analyze the differences of social demographic data.Results: 1. The economy independence scale of adolescent students is composed of four dimensions: learn to earn money, resource allocation, money store, career preparation, a total of 18 projects;2. The reliability analysis results: the alpha coefficient of the scale is 0.849,and the split-half reliability coefficient of the scale is 0.832,The test-retest reliability is 0822;3.The validity analysis results: the correlations between each subscale are from 0.286 to 0.557,The correlations between subscales and scale ranges are from 0.654 to 0.832,The correlations between the scores and adolescent students personal self-supporting personality subscales ranges are from 0.421 to 0.610; 4.The part dimensions and the total score of the adolescent students economy independence have significant differences in different social demographic variables such as gender, whether single, school type, grade, whether in residence and different families.Conclusion: 1.The scholastic self-supporting questionnaire of adolescent students includes four subscales, such as learn to earn money, resource allocation, money store and career preparation, a total of 18 items. 2. The scale’s psychological measurement of the reliability and validity is good. 3. The adolescent students economy independence has certain differences in different social demographic variables such as gender, whether single, school type, grade, whether in residence and different families.
