Since Islam was introduced to China, localization process is begin.this course contain with active option and passive acceptance. This activity is still going on today, because localization is a process of movement. The Studies on the localization is a hot spot. Ma Tianying is the elite of Muslim intellectuals since modern times and his thought is a microcosm of Islam localization. It contains two sides, both traditional culture and Islam culture, indeed aggregate two different cultures. It is valuable that he has spent a lifetime practicing this wealth of ideas and reflects the traditional Chinese idea of "unity of knowledge" ideological essence besides it shows a pragmatic side of Islam. Looking back on his life his thought and behavior has not dims but shine. It is just a bunch of light that current Muslim seeking for social adaptation and also a good example can let Islam revive.The Perspective of this paper is using the ethnological theory of the Republic of China as the background to recall the thought and practice of Ma Tianying. The author uses a perspective of acculturation to analyze the thought and practice of Ma Tianying. His life is the best portrayal of the localization of Islam in China and have inherited and promoted the model of Mosque Education. The paper is divided into three chapters.The Introduction describes the reasons and significance and lists the status of the domestic research and explores Islamic localization ideology of Ma Tianying. The first chapter offers the background of Ma Tianying. The second chapter recalling the localization process of Islam and analyzes how did Islam interact with traditional Chinese thought in Ma Tianying’s view. The third chapter reviews the life time practice of Ma Tianying.
