Objective:To develop children’s self-control scale,Screening each item for scale.using the classical measurement theory to test the reliability and validity of the scale,and provided assessment tool for the students of grade 3-grade 6 to their Self- control ability level evaluation and for related research work.Also to discuss the theoretical structure of the students’ self-control in grade3-grade 6.Method:Through theoretical discussion and investigation to Construction of the scale,reviewing the relevant literature and drawing on the results of previous studies to determine the basic structure model and tables’ contents of the children ’s self- control ability,and use the individual interviews and open-ended questionnaire to complete it.Through the first draft and the second draft of the project selection and project analysis to determined the scale structure and form a formal scale finally.An effective sample of 345 primary schools in 3 primary schools in Changsha, Hunan province, was selected for the project analysis,contain117 students of grade three 71 students of grade four, 103 students of grade five, 45 students of grade six,182 boys and 163 girls.The sample retest reliability of the valid samples were 85, 114 and 96 respectively.Results: 1. The children’s self-control was assessed by self-assessment,teacher-assessment, parents’-evaluation three parts, each part contains 13,10, 8 projects respectively, and divided into persistence, self-control,conscious behavior three dimensions.2. Project analysis: Program analysis: self-assessment, teacher-assessment and parents-assessment three versions of the CR projects evaluation respectively 2.98-12.35,8.27-19.55 and 9.06-14.74; item total related respectively 0.36-0.67,0.71-0.87 and 0.52-0.62; degree respectively to 0.33-0.67, 0.64-0.85 and0.34-0.67; factor loadings respectively for from 0.42-0.77, 0.64-0.98 and0.49-0.82.3. The reliability analysis: the internal consistency coefficient and the split half reliability coefficient of the three versions were 0.724,0.929, 0.724 and 0.679, 0.906, 0.626 respectively, the retest reliability is0.51, 0.45 and 0.42 respectively.4.Validity analysis: the confirmatory factor analysis RMSEA are less than 0.08, NFI, TLI, CFI are more than0.90;The criterion-related validity was 0.10, 0.27 and 0.46 respectively.Conclusion: 1 The psychological measurement index of the self-control ability of children is excellent.2.Three version has good reliability.3.Three version has a certain validity.4.There are some differences in the gender and grade of the children’s self-control.
