【Objective】To evaluate the reliability and validity of Chinese version of the Griffith Empathy Measure Parent Ratings(Chinese GEM-PR).【 Methods 】 Eighty-five high function ASD and 344 children of TD were entered into group, the Chinese GEM-PR scale was used, test the Chinese GEM –PR the reliability and validity through exploratory factor analysis and confirmatory factor analysis.【Results】The Cronbach-coefficient of GEM-PR(Chinese version) was0.860; the split half of reliability was 0.73; the test-retest reliability was 0.853.A two-factor model was go by exploratory factory analysis. The confirmatory factor analysis revealed a good model fit, and the fit indicts were GFI=0.94, AGFI=0.90,RMSEA=0.06, NFI=0.89, RFI=0.84, IFI=0.93, TLI=0.89,CFI=0.92. Significant correlations were found between the GEM-PR(Chinese version)and EQ-SQ.【Conclusion】GEM-PR(Chinese version)has good reliability and validity in application to Chinese people.【Objective】To explore the correlation of the characteristics of facial emotion recognition and empathy, and analyze the characteristics of facial emotion recognition with autism spectrum disorder children.【Methods】36 children meet American Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of mental disorders 4th edition(revised)(DSM-IV-TR) diagnostic criteria for ASD and35 typical development(TD)as control group who matched age, sex and IQ, and used the human facial expression recognition task to test emotion recognition capabilities. The psychology software of presentation0.71 was used to render cartoon images to the subjects’ five basic emotions on the computer. The result of the subjects for facial expression recognition ability test, the accuracy of five facial expression recognition could be compared furtherly analysis in two groups of participants. And the accuracy of five kinds of facial expression recognition in high function ASD group. The correlation was explored among intelligence, age and Chinese GEM-PR of each subscales points.【Results】There was significant difference from happy and neutral among the five facial expression discrimination with ASD children(P<0.05), and happy(0.79±0.25)>fear(0.49±0.32)>angry(0.47±0.36)>sad(0.45±0.26)> neutral(0.38±0.38);The accuracy of three emotions of sadness、neutral and happy in ASD children was significantly lower than TD(P<0.05),and sad[ASD group(0.45±0.26)<TD group(0.71±0.22),P=0.00],neutral [ASD group(0.38±0.38)<TD group(0.85±0.25),P=0.00],happy[ASD group(0.79±0.25)<TD group(0.92±0.16),P=0.01]; The GEM scores, cognitive, behavior and emotional subscale of ASD children were significantly lower than TD(P<0.05); There were a significant correlation between the recognition accuracy of fear and neutral emotion and age inASD children; There were a positive correlation between the recognition accuracy of the four kinds of emotions and intelligence in ASD children(P<0.05); There were a negative correlation between the accuracy of the happy emotions and the average of GEM-PR in ASD children(P<0.05);the average of cognitive empathy and the accuracy of Emotional recognition sharing regression was significant in ASD children(standardized regression coefficient=0.32, R2=0.27, P=0.00).【Conclusion】Compared TD children, the capacity of recognition sad and neutral emotion were lower in ASD children, and the empathy ability in cognitive and effective emotion of children with ASD was poorer. The capacity of facial emotion recognition can predict cognitive empathy in children with ASD.
