Storytelling activities change with the diversifications of people’s daily live,and appear new features.Folk tales as one of the most important literary forms created by the people, its story text must reflect the people’s lives and people’s thoughts. Based on the overall observation of storytelling activities,concern on the story-times’s change, and adopt the analysis of the text of the story text at the same time, make a thorough inquiry on the awareness of nature, society and its own by the locals, illustrat the values of Dong people in Northern Guangxi, explore the social function and significance of the story telling activities.The paper consists of five parts:The first part, make a rough analysis on the survival status of Sanjiang Dong autonomous county.
