Ann Hui has directed 24 films in her more than 30-year film-making career and man being. Her film type is rich and varied in style. This paper focused on the outside thriller suspense films, martial arts films and ghost piece of 19 drama, from the Angle of social gender, analyzes and discusses Ann Hui in different periods of the creation of the horizon, description of the relationships between the sexes, gender image and theme connotation the different qualities of writing. Although in the film creation course of Ann Hui creative vision and perspective not unified complex phenomena, but their works throughout the spiritual connotation of humanistic care. Men and women were discussed from the point of view of human nature of individual fate by Ann Hui. Her value judgment criterion is humanism, instead of feminism. In this sense, Most of Ann Hui’s movies expressed gender position and relatively mild implicit gender consciousness. From the point of view of the literature, Ann Hui’s film creation of contemporary Chinese female literature writing has its significance and contribution.The introduction part of the first analysis of the existing research results and commented Ann Hui’s films, explicit the research purpose and significance of this paper. The second, to interpret the meaning of the research Angle of "social gender", to clarify issues and ideas of this article to study. Finally, to illustrate the research object of this paper, and to define Ann Hui’s films into early and late.The first chapter analysis the complexity of Ann Hui and her creative work from two different angles. As a female, Ann Hui does not highlight the traditional sense of femininity, efforts to pursue the existence of self-worth. And as a female director or a female writer, Ann Hui is not strictly a women film creator and presents its particularity and complexity, main performance in the film creation has experienced the transformation process from a perspective of male to female horizon.The second chapter mainly analysis Ann Hui’s early work, research on Ann Hui depicting relationship between the sexes and theme connotation under the male vision. Under the male vision, Ann Hui treat and describe relations between the sexes from the male perspective, that is male/female, "look"/" see ", "save"/" saved ". On the theme of the film implication conveyed acute political consciousness and deep feelings of home and nation.The third chapter analysis Ann Hui’s later work, research on Ann Hui cerate gender image and write women’s real survival under the female vision. From the female perspective, female become the main body of the film, the female image are shaping of perseverance and ego, while the male show the weak side. With the perspective of humanistic care, Ann Hui write women in the family situation and survival reality of love, marriage, and probe into the causes of the female to pursue self difficultly.The fourth chapter discusses the female consciousness of Ann Hui. Ann Hui’s movies expressed mild gender position and implicit female consciousness. The main performance is in a return to traditional poetic ideal, the tender feeling between the women and the pursuit of the harmonious relationship between men and women.The conclusion part expounds the Ann Hui’s film creation to the present significance and contribution of Chinese female literature writing.
