The Research Of College English Vocabulary Mobile Learning

Now in the era of information explosion, with the acceleration of science and technology, economy and life learning environment changing, especially the coming of Internet and cloud computing technology, Exponential growth in the updated information permeates the people’s life, and the cloud computing technology and the learning resource by shared offer limitless possibilities for mobile learning, which requires people to learn knowledge, constantly updated information and skills, to adapt to the need of learning society, it’s more and more important to have situational, personalization, convenience, interactivity and flexibility of open and mobile learning to deal with the knowledge explosion.More and more people study and entertain through the computer, TV, digital terminals, mobile phones and other media, the network learning turns into the era of mobile learning.For most of the domestic college students, learning English takes up nearly the entire university career, and learning English well has become the most urgent desire for college students, the basis of learning English well is to master English vocabulary, the amount of English vocabulary directly affects the students’English listening comprehension, oral expression ability, reading ability and writing ability even the improvement of the overall level of English.As the English vocabulary has such an important position in English learning, my study was on the basis of English vocabulary learning ways, ideas and attitudes of college students, summary the characteristics of college students’English vocabulary mobile learning in the concept of mobile learning, trying to find problems of English vocabulary mobile learning, and on the basis of that to design a English vocabulary mobile learning software based on Android, to meet the needs of college students’English vocabulary mobile learning, so as to help students use their spare time to break through the "bottleneck" of English vocabulary learning, rapidly and effectively expand their English vocabulary, promote students’ autonomous learning ability.This study through the literature research, questionnaire survey and experimental research, to have a knowledge of the current situation and requirements of contemporary college students use mobile devices to carry out English vocabulary learning, on the basis of mobile learning theory, using Android system to develop an English word mobile learning software, and through the practical application to verify the rationality,usability and effectiveness of the design.The software is mainly realize two functions of the word memory and the word search, which can realize the demand of the user’s access to knowledge in the process of memorizing words and understand their learning situation in a time.The software provides users with a convenient way to memorizing words, and a reference to the development and application of mobile learning software, which has important research value and broad application prospects in the education teaching.
