The Research Of Micro Documentary Characteristics Under The New Media Environment

In recent years, with the increasing improvement of network technology and the fast development of the new media environment, documentary has also changed in many aspects. Being influenced by the general environment, the audience’s desire for the fragmentation of time and space has become stronger than before, which pushes the formation of fast-food culture so that more and more short and refine work replace the long masterpiece. This leads to the postmodern direction, being loose and scattered. At such historic moment, micro documentary comes to realize.The second chapter analyses and explains micro documentary in China in four aspects. In chapter two, it compares the advantages of micro documentary with the traditional from four aspects of themes, subjects, and creative methods and the new communication modes.By comparing the documentary with traditional documentary in narrative way, the third chapter summarizes and analyzes the change of narrative strategy of the micro documentaryThrough the analyses of various micro documentaries, Chapter four summarizes the features of micro documentary under the new media environment. It particularly emphasizes that under this media environment what the content of the micro documentary is like, such as the characters of generalization and fast-pace, which will all be explained in details in this chapter.Based on the summary of the previous four chapters, Chapter five puts some expectations on the development of micro documentary in the new media environment, and offers some advice on this problem.
