The Study Of Ji-ritual Music Among The Two Song, Liao And Jing Dynasty

This thesis which takes Ji-ritual music of two Song Dynasties as the object of the study, makes a comparison of Ji-ritual music between two Song Dynasties and analyses the influence it takes to the northern minorities-the Liao Dynasty and the Jing Dynasty. This thesis also researches the concrete form which Ji-ritual music performed in vertical direction-two Song Dynasties and horizontal direction-the Northern Song Dynasty with the Liao Dynasty and the Southern Song Dynasty with the Jing Dynasty and tries to find out the factors make Ji-ritual music assimilated by the foreign land.The whole thesis is consisted of an introduction, four-chapter body and a conclusion.The introduction illustrates the cause of topic selection, summarizes the previous research and the history of Ji-ritual music in Tang Dynasty.Chapter one arranges the historical materials of Ji-ritual music in two Song Dynasties and analyses the successions and changes in vertical direction.Chapter two considers the relationship of Ji-ritual music in horizontal direction between the Northern Song Dynasty and the Liao Dynasty, the ritual culture of which both partly inherit from the Tang Dynasty. Besides, the Ji-ritual music of the Northern Song Dynasty also imperceptibly influence on the Liao Dynasty.Chapter three discusses the differences of Ji-ritual music in horizontal direction between the Southern Song Dynasty and the Jing Dynasty, explores the indigenization and changes of the Ji-ritual music in the Jing Dynasty and the influence from the Southern Song Dynasty.Chapter four considers the historical significance of the Ji-ritual music from two Song Dynasties to the Liao Dynasty and the Jing Dynasty, explores the historical causes of the Ji-ritual music protected and developed in minority lands and also summarizes the patterns and functions of the inheritance of the Ji-ritual music.The last is the conclusion, conclude the influence; the historical causes and the cultural characteristics of the Ji-ritual music from two Song Dynasties to the Liao Dynasty and the Jing Dynasty.
