In recent years, with the prosperous development and progress of science and technology, science fiction, this new literary form is accepted and loved by a growing number of readers. Science fiction is a special literature form that combine science and literature, it is also an indispensable literary form in human development and progress, the main characteristic of science fiction is scientificity and fantasy. Chinese modern science fiction began with the translation of foreign excellent science fictions. Science fiction translation introduces and promotes foreign spirit of science fiction, enriches scientific and cultural knowledge of readers, broadens their horizon, and inspires the reader’s imagination and creativity by means of its special medium role. As a communication means of the science and culture concept, science fiction translation has unique meaning of scientific edification. Therefore,Chinese science fiction translation should actively take the resources of foreign science fiction, make better service to revitalize China through technology and education. However, whether a good science fiction could achieve its expected effect and scientific and cultural value or not directly depends on the quality of translation. Science fiction translation should be based on the translation theory which is suited to the characteristics, in this way, it could be more clear when choosing translation method, and the quality of translation could be further enhanced. In this translation report, the author chose the science fiction novella "Acherontia Lachesis"(chapter 1-4) by Soviet science fiction master Alexander Belyeav and make tentative translation, According to science fiction translation characteristic and standard, choosing "skopos theory" as the theoretical guidance, combining translation examples, summarizing the translation strategy which is suitable for the special literary style with all kinds oftranslation methods and skills, and then providing practical experience for science fiction translation.This report contains the introduction, the first part, the second part and conclusion: The introduction includes the meaning of the science fiction translation, the author’s introduction of this science fiction and the evaluation of his works; The first part mainly summarizes the characteristic of science fiction, translation standard and the rationale of science fiction translation; The second part, with AD text, for example,combining various translation methods and skills to analyze science fiction title translation, terminology translation of the novel, and translation of environment description and detail description; The conclusion is a general summary of this translation practice.
