Nowadays, ecological and environmental issues are becoming severer than ever before. It is of great significance to work on these issues due to our living environment and survival predicament. When analysis Chuang-tzu in depth, we can find the profound wisdom of ecological philosophy it contains. The large mount of landscapes, flora and fauna imagery mentioned in the book and the theory "Down of the World" the book suggested offer us enlightment and guidance in solving our ecological problem and survival predicament.My dissertation is divided into four chapters in according to the landscapes, flora and fauna imagery that mentioned in Chuang-tzu. In the first chapter, I verified the natural images(rivers, animals and plants) that mentioned in Chuang-tzu, selected and analyzed part of images in typically, introduced habits and living environment of these images, compared and illustrated the difference between ancient and nowadays in living condition and living environment of the images, in order to infer theirs` suitable living environment. The chapter two is surrounded by the theory “Dao”. From the origin of Chuang-tzu ecological view of the natural world, illustrated Chuang-tzu`s thought rely on the natural images.The third chapter is about Chuang-tzu`s anti-alienation thought. Mining out its exposing and criticizing to the alienation phenomenon, and then explore the beauty of the universe, humanity unfeigned, and technology progressed into enlightenment. In chapter four, I traced the origin of Chuang-tzu`s ideal world and draw the outline of the "ecological utopia" that advocated in Chuang-tzu`s.Although, there are many writings from an ecological point of view to study Chuang-tzu, but research it with Chuang-tzu natural world,especially on the focos of the landscapes, flora and fauna imagery is a new angle.
