Research On Music Teaching Of Literati/Scholar-bureaucrats Stratum In Han,Wei And Six Dynasties

Since late Han Dynasty and Wei and Jin Dynasties, the focus of musical culture education was changed to the folk from the court along with the recession of official schools and the rise of private schools. In that context, literati/scholar-bureaucrats, integrating cultural tradition and ethical knowledge into a whole, became the important stratum to push forward the inheritance of musical culture. All of them had many unique insights in teaching modes, contents and thoughts etc and had cultivated a host of excellent music talents.This paper consists of three chapters in total. In Chapter One, the author makes a brief explanation of the relationship between music and social custom as well as literati/scholar-bureaucrats in Han, Wei and Six Dynasties. In Chapter Two, the author mainly makes research on music teaching of literati/scholar-bureaucrats stratum in Han, Wei and Six Dynasties, and then respectively makes deep discussion on music teaching modes, contents and purposes of literati/scholar-bureaucrats stratum. In Chapter Three, the author makes discussion on music teaching thoughts of personages in Han,Wei and Six Dynasties, and summaries features of music teaching thoughts of literati/scholar-bureaucrats stratum in Han, Wei and Six Dynasties through analysis of some representative thoughts.In this paper, the author mainly takes literati/scholar-bureaucrats stratum in Han,Wei and Six Dynasties as the research object, explains the difference in music education between literati/scholar-bureaucrats stratum and other stratums through research on music teaching modes, contents and purposes as well as thoughts of literati/scholar-bureaucrats stratum from the perspective of music education, and herewith discusses the influence of music education of literati/scholar-bureaucrats stratum on the development of ancient and modern musical culture.
