The Study On Cotton Packaging Design Based On Design Ethics

Cotton and linen fabrics packages is one kind of packaging with a long history, which flourish again associate with the boom of vintage style and ecological packaging design. Nowadays, the widespread usage of nondegradable chemical packaging materials leads to the deterioration of soil and pollution of urban environment. The reform of packaging materials is extremely urgent, as a result, the trend of ecological packaging design becomes inevitable. Cotton and linen fabrics packages, regarded as a natural returnable ecological packaging, is receiving more and more attention from people.Packaging design should adhere to ethical or moral principles as a design activity of human practice activities. For modern packaging design, design ethics are the restraint of the standard and the model of design activity. In order to balance the complex relationship of human、design and nature from ethical perspective,designers should integrate the concept of ethics into design. “Tian”, means nature in Chinese,is a very crucial key word in Chinese philosophy as well as in the whole Chinese cultural history,the human history is a reciprocating and co-developing course between humanity and the nature. In the researching of relationship, design gets its development, and human society evaluates and renovates its development mode. Besides, the knowledge towards design ethics should be developed into the instruction towards spirit content of designing. “Appearance comes from psychology”, the spirit of designing is internal soul of designing, the appearance of products can be promote only by enriching internal patterning. Ethics is a fuzzy concept in the domestic aesthetic field, as a consequence, there is an desperate urge to define the humanistic care of packaging design, return traditional culture to the motherland and built clear consciousness of packaging ethics.Based on the theory of design technology, this article studied in cotton and linen fabrics packages design, analyzed the phenomenon and reason about absence of ethics on modern packaging design, combined factors including species、quality、manufacturing、printing and dyeing and the theory of graphic design, discussed and summarized the modern cotton and linen fabrics packages design consists of design tactics、packaging structure、visual elements、ethical characteristics and so on. All the above tended to offer neoteric point of view about modern cotton and linen fabrics packages design on its ethics and moral characteristics, waked up designers to rethink their own responsibility and delivered the concept of sustainable designing、human oriented designing and ethical designing. Furthermore, cited successful cotton and linen fabrics packages design examples, made an attempt about evolving the modern ecological materials’ application and direction on the field of packaging design, created harmonious atmosphere for contemporary products packaging design.
