A Study On The Narrative Features Of Ci Poetry Structure In Tang And Song Dynasty

Ci poetry is one of the important style of traditional Chinese literature, which is often considered the lyric literature and have not attracted attention by Narratology research, in fact there are some narrative features in Ci poetry. With the carrier of Tang_Song Ci, this article on the basis of absorption of the results of previous studies,starting from the theory of Chinese traditional literature and referring to the research methodology of Western narratology,engaged in a research on the narrative features of Ci poetry structure.Prolegomenon part of the article holding positive for the narrative of Ci poetry and restricting the object of study. Research on the narrative of Ci poetry were summarized and the problem were pointed out. Finally, the ideas and methods of this study was illustrated.Chapter 1 mainly explore the narrative of Ci’brand and Ci’healine and Ci’preamble. The Ci’brand bring out the theme by narrative. The Ci’brand guid narrative by revealing the event content and confessing the time ang place and showing the origin of Ci poetry. By description narrative and exposition narrative, the Ci’preamble guid lyric so that the Ci poetry have narrative as a whole, at the same time make the sense of Ci poetry become more lasting. Ci’brand, Ci’healine,Ci’preamble have the function of guiding narrative before the text.Chapter 2 mainly explore the narrative of Ci’text. Though Ci poetry put lyric in first, the narrativity of Travel Ci poetry, History Ci poetry, Current Ci poetry, Story Ci poetry, Official Ci poetry and Love Ci poetry is more striking. Taking the narrative theory of Gerard Genette who is French structuralism when analyses the narrative perspective of Ci poetry, and divide the Ci’narrative perspective into Watching type narrative perspective, Autonomous type narrative perspective and Endorsement type narrative perspective. The narrative style of Ci’text have uniqueness and it mainly has Action narration, Dialogue narration, Scene narration, Abbreviation narration, Focus narration, Contradiction narration, Metaphor narration, Association chapter narration.Chapter 3 compares the Ci’narrative perspective with the lyrics poetry’ narrative perspective. The two also hidden the narrative factors though the mainly tone is lyric,they both have the pure realm which is fused the emotion, the scenery and the things,they both have narrative techniques with “emotional” and “image”, they both have the abstract narrative picture. The narrative feature of Ci poetry are different from lyric’s,that is the narrative difference in stylistic structure, sentence pattern and language expression.The conclusion part summarizes the narrative features of Ci poetry and affirming significance of the research. At the same time it educes that Chinese have lyric tradition and narrative tradition, and the research perspective of Chinese literature should be diversified.
