Comparative Study On Symbolic Significance Of "Horse" Between South Korea AndChina

South Korea and China both belong to the Asian cultural circle and have lots of similarities in their traditional cultures and national customs. However, due to reasons such as histories and cultural developments, the cultures of the two countries also exhibit certain differences. These differences are not only reflected in the languages of these two countries, but also reflected in their different views on the same object.This research conducts a comparative study on the symbolic meanings of "horse" in South Korea and China in multiple aspects. Taking cultural linguistics as the main theoretical basis and by comparing a large number of idioms, this paper has analyzed the symbolic meanings of "horse" in South Korea and China.The research has revealed that the symbolic meanings of "horse" in the cultures and languages of South Korea and China have some similarities as well as differences, which can be attributed to cultural exchange, geographical factors, and the influences of their respective living habits and living environment.
