Duzheng was zhuxi’s disciple in his old age. Duzheng was the minister and academic in the late Song Dynasty. He has written two books : Manuscript of xingshan and Chronicle of ZhouDunyi. This is the most important materials to study his thoughts. He spended all the time of his life on learning and meeting the master ZhuXi is the limit of his learning career. In his early period he was affected by the school of JianShan, and his Scholarship foundation is Goodness doctrine of Mencius.He visited ZhuXi successfully in Thirty-two years old and ZhuXi valued his knowledge and moral. DuZheng learned a lot through this period, since then,DuZheng maintained exchanges with those moralists. Except ZhuXi, there are three important people give him great inspiration for his knowledge, they are Liu Guangzu,WuLie and CaoYanyue.New Confucianism Theory of DuZheng can be divided three parts: Confucian orthodoxy, LiQi and political phylosophy. DuZheng attaches great importance to teaching of confucian orthodoxy between masters and disciples. At the same time,he also pay attention to the value of classic literature. DuZheng attaches great importance to confucianist of Han and Tang Dynasties, however, he pay more attention to confucianist of Song Dynasty, especially the contributions of ZhuXi. The ontology of DuZheng include Tai Chi, YinYang and Li Qi. And the highlight of his political philosophy is the common governance by monarchs and ministers.
