Studies Of The Zhejiang Jinshi In Song Dynasty

During the Song Dynasty, the economy and education developed rapidly, a large number of jinshi emerged in Zhejiang. This article focuses on the studies about the Jinshi of the Zhejiang in Song Dynasty, and it is in the background of the imperial examination developed in Song Dynasty. This paper based on the number of jinshi on different historical periods and geographic distribution in Zhejiang, give an overall assessment, conclude the characteristics and developing trends. Finally, we analyze the relationship between the imperial examinations and society of Zhejiang.There are four parts in this article:1. Introduction: We introduce the current scholar research on the imperial examination and jinshi of Zhejiang in Song Dynasty, and then make an introduction of significance and approaches of the study. And define the research scope and related concept in this article.2. Basic introduction of jinshi in Zhejiang: researches on the total number and geographic distribution of jinshi in Zhejiang, a historical and regional evaluation on the achievements of the imperial examination in Zhejiang. On the whole grasp the imperialexamination of Zhejiang in the national status.3. The characteristics of imperial examination and jinshi in Zhejiang: An analysis on the regional constitution, periodical composition and family components of the jinshi in Zhejiang attributes to the features of unbalanced geographic distribution, the ever increasing number of jinshi in the unit of a family, these families monopoly the imperial examination of local.4. Social situation and the system of imperial examination in Song Dynasty in Zhejiang: an analysis on the influence of social economy, population variation, cultural—education career, Zhedong school, social fashion and the political center move southward on imperial examination in Zhejiang. The imperial prosperity is the result of joint action of many factors in Song Dynasty in Zhejiang.Through the study of jinshi and imperial examination in Song Dynasty in Zhejiang, not only can help us for the Song Dynasty have a deeper understanding of regional culture in Zhejiang, but also provide an important reference significance on cultural and educational career in today.
