Research On Periodization Of The Tombs Of Liao Dynasty In Liaohai

In recent years, with the continuous discovery of archaeological materials in Liao Dynasty, the archaeology of Liao Dynasty have attracted more and more experts and scholars. Tombs of Liao Dynasty are important archaeological remains, the excavation has great function for the study on the archaeology of Liao dynasty. As As one of the main areas where Liao Dynasty dominated, Liaoning area also found and excavated a large numbers of tombs of the Liao Dynasty which provide rich materials for archaeological research in Liao Dynasty. Many scholars had done a lot of research on the tombs of Liao Dynasty in Liaoning province from the angle of multiple subjects such as archaeology, history and so on. By reading and hackling these materials preliminarily, Liaoning area will be divided into two regions in western of Liaoning, Shenyang and its surrounding areas in this article. Then generalize main tombs by excavations, shapes and structures of tombs, and the situation of relics,summarize the evolvement rules of tombs of Liao Dynasty in the Liaoning area by the evolution of shapes and structures, burial customs, burial objects, murals and so on,take the clear annals of the burial materials as a clue, combine the research results by many predecessors, divide the tombs’ time and nation of the Liao Dynasty without clear annals of the burial materials, and then discuss the periodization about the Liao Dynasty Tombs in Liaoning area which had been found preliminarily, Analysis the similarities and differences between the Hans and the Khitans in burial system,explore the national relations of Liao Dynasty in Liaoning area.
