This paper takes the liao dynasty mural tombs in liaoning province as the research object,mainly carries on the installment,the classification to the liao dynasty mural tombs in liaoning province,and on this basis,has carried on the related question research.There are the following points:First,the unearthed mural tombs of liao dynasty in liaoning were divided into three periods: early liao(muzong period-early jingzong period),middle liao(jingzong period-xingzong period),and late liao(daozong period-emperor tianzuo period).The mural tombs of liao dynasty in liaoning were divided into four categories: class a,important high class nobles,such as Kings,princes,important relatives,etc.Class b: general duke,senior family members,important ministers,etc.;Class c,general secretary,general nobility,senior family members;Class d,lower class officials,wealthy people.Second,on the basis of stages,discuss the changes of the structure of the tomb and the types of funeral goods.The main types of tomb structure are: single chamber tomb,double chamber tomb,double ear chamber tomb,double ear chamber tomb.The murals were mainly composed of travel pictures and return pictures.The murals were innovated in the late liao dynasty,such as game pictures and Taoist priest flying up.The owner's portrait was not seen in the tombs.Three,liaoning area during the liao for the khitans were mixed with the han people and other nationalities,so in the tomb shape,the burial objects,murals content differences,combining nationality-belonging burial,to determine conditions,on the tomb of the unclear property is relatively clear division,helps to deepen understanding of the liao dynasty tomb murals in liaoning province.
