The The territory of the Liao Dynasty includes most of the present Inner Mongolia,and the eastern Chifeng and Tongliao areas are the birthplace of Qidan people and the core area of Qidan people's living habitat.Therefore,there are a large number of Qidan cultural relics in eastern Inner Mongolia.Since Min Xuanhua,a French missionary,began to study the tombs of the Liao Dynasty in the early 20 th century,a large number of tombs and murals of the Liao Dynasty have been excavated from Inner Mongolia,Liaoning,Hebei,Shanxi,Beijing and Jilin in100 years.It provides important research value for studying the history and culture,social economy,religious belief and folk customs of Liao Dynasty Information.Based on the previous research results,this paper focuses on the layout,composition,subject matter and painting styleof the murals unearthed in the eastern part of inner mongolia in the past 30 years,using the methods of field investigation,archaeology,history,literature research and image research.This paper is divided into five parts: the first part is the introduction,which mainly introduces the reason,significance,archaeological discovery and literature review of the tomb murals of the Liao Dynasty;the second part discusses the burial culture of the Liao Dynasty and the image remains and layout meaning of the murals of the Liao Dynasty unearthed in the eastern part of Inner Mongolia for nearly 30 years;the third part It mainly discusses the form composition and subject matter evolution of tomb murals;the fourth part studies and analyzes the multicultural and artistic style embodied in tomb murals;the fifth part is the conclusion,and summarizes the contents of the above four chapters.
