Simulation Interpretation Practice Report Of Ninth Peter Drucker High-end Management Forum

In information age, connections among all the countries is becoming increasingly close, and the scope of cooperation is getting wider and wider. Therefore, the quality of communication at international conferences has a direct influence on the policy and interests of countries. International conference interpretation is an extremely requiring work, which is mainly used for communication and cooperation of cross-language and cross-culture. With the development of human society, international conference becomes an important platform for different countries to discuss common problems and coordinate the interests’ relationship. Its contents are getting more diversified which relates to politics, economy, culture, education and many other aspects including coordinating the system of economy, sustainable development, environment protection and other era topics. Therefore, the study of international conference interpretation is necessary and urgent.This thesis is an analog practical interpretation report based on the speeches of the President of the Peter F. Drucker Academy-Minglu Shao and the vice President Shaotang Guo on the ninth Peter Drucker high-end management forum in Dalian, which belongs to conference interpretation. Interpretive theory is the guiding ideology of this thesis. This theory emphasizes it is equity of the original meaning and effect that interpreter should pursue, but not that of linguistic unit. Plenty of examples are used in this thesis to achieve functional equivalence by taking significance as a clue considering all the characters of conference interpretation.There are five parts in this thesis. Introduction as the first part is to introduce the development of interpretation and its importance in modern international conference. The second part is a brief introduction of the task including the source, background and meaning of the project. The third part is mainly about the interpretation process, which includes description of the project and preparation before interpretation. Case analysis and introduction of interpretive theory combines the fourth parts. The last part is the conclusion of this practice. Through this practice, I have drawn a conclusion that interpretive theory applied to conference interpretation widely and the conference could be held better by using this theory. Meanwhile, I have found some detailed problems that will direct me to be a good interpreter in the future. By applying what I have learned in class to the practice, I obtained plenty of experience. I hope this thesis could make a contribution to the interpretive theory by providing some reference.
