A Report Of Strategies For Conference Interpretation Under The Guidance Of Interpretive Theory

This thesis is an interpreting practice report. The FDA evaluation conference which the thesis writer interpreted is highly professional and technical, covering production lines, manufacturing process and many other details about food engineering. After the interpreting task, the author pays special attention to reviewing the interpreting performance from the perspective of the French interpretive theory and trying to solve the problems encountered in the conference interpreting. On the basis of the fact above, the author tries to find out the corresponding strategies.In the case study chapter, the thesis writer mainly discusses the thoughts of the understanding and express of original language and the deverbalization in interpretive approach. The thesis writer chooses the representative parts of the above-mentioned interpreting practice to do case analysis and divides the interpreting problems encountered in the conference into two categories:comprehension problems and reformulation problems.
