Folk custom is a kind of common cultural phenomenon in social life, is closely related to People’s Daily life, not separation. As the most common phenomenon in the social life, folk culture of learning and understanding for students to learn Chinese, is very practical significance and value. Folk culture is a social established cultural patterns, involving every aspect of our social life, people treat problems and ways to deal with problems and habits may be influenced by him. Students how to correctly communicate with the Chinese,to understand the Chinese unique way of thinking and living habits, so as to achieve good communication effect, you need a good to learn and grasp the Chinese folk culture. Therefore, folk culture teaching in teaching Chinese as a foreign language is a very important part of it.Based on the above content, this article mainly aims at the teaching of Chinese as a foreign language should be how to carry out the folk custom culture teaching, and how to achieve better teaching effects in detail in this paper. The full text is divided into five parts:The first part is introduction, mainly including the purpose of this study and significance,literature review and research methods.The second part is about the folk culture and its importance in teaching Chinese as a foreign language.The third part is the part of Shanghai Confucianism, Chinese school students to learn the present situation of folk culture questionnaire and classroom teaching activity, the questionnaire data statistical analysis and evaluation of classroom teaching.The fourth part according to the analysis of the questionnaire and classroom teaching activity, and to analyze its existing teaching material cultural import, the shortcomings in the course of folk culture teaching Chinese as a foreign language has carried on the research and discussion, and proposed the corresponding countermeasure.The fifth part is epilogue part.
