The Contributions Of Zheng He In Indonesia

Zheng He was born in 1371(Hongwu four years), Yunnan Kunyang(now is known as Kunming Jinning County), he is the great pioneer of ocean explorer. He’s seven voyages to the numerous islands. In the course of the voyage, he disseminates culture, as the pioneer of the relationship between Indonesia and China, he has helped the Indonesian people to get a better life, taught Indonesian people agriculture methods and technical of commercial, so the research about Zheng He’s voyages is a research about the basic important influences of Zheng He in Indonesia.In this study, this research is using literature analysis method and comparative method. First, introduced Zheng He and his trace in Indonesia, including Zheng He’s voyages, the fleet, the inscription and the grave; Secondly, respectively in religion, art, Almanac, diplomatic relations. These four aspects ae the impact of Zheng He’s voyages to Indonesia; then, described the contribution of Zheng He in diplomatic relations between China and Indonesia: He was not only promoted the development of trade, for the people of Indonesia He brought the Chinese goods,such as coins, silk, porcelain, iron, etc., and also strengthened the personnel exchanges between the two countries, and promote the cultural, ideological spread profound Chinese culture; Finally, summarized the Zheng He’s contributions to Indonesia, he is the pioneer of China’s good relations with Indonesia, pursuit of a peaceful foreign policy, aimed at establishing a harmonious international order, He is the first Indonesian Chinese people spreads Islam in Indonesia, a profound impact on the Indonesian economy, culture, diplomacy and other aspects.
