With the increasing growth of economic globalization, culture industry nowadays has been recognized as a "sunrise industry" which has optimistic prospects for development. Especially in developed countries like Europe, the united states, Japan and South Korea, the culture industry has become an important support to the economic and social development. This "sunrise industry" is now facing a historic opportunity for development. Due to its industrial attributes like high added values, high degree of relevance and high degree of involvement, culture industry is favored by countries all around the world,for its success has an important strategic influence on the promotion of upgrading industrial structures, changing the economic growth pattern and developing emerging industries. Therefore, due to its development trend and its irreplaceable social and economic values, culture industry is an important subject for academic study with essential practical significance.As an important part of the traditional northeast old industrial base, which has long been affected by the development mode of "giving priority to the development of heavy industry", Liaoning province now suffers from unhealthy economic situations such as the imbalance of industrial structures, the fossilization of economic systems and the lack of vitality. In order to solve those problems, the government has timely proposed the strategy of revitalizing the northeast area. Based on the success of culture industries in Japan and South Korea, combining the era background of revitalizing the old industrial base in Liaoning province and upgrading the industrial structures, this thesis discusses the basic ideas and future directions for the development of culture industries in Liaoning province. To be specific, this thesis is divided into the following six parts:The first part is the introduction of the paper, discussing the paper topic selection background, research significance, research approach, research contents and research summary of culture industry domestic and overseas.The second part is the theoretical research of the paper, analyzing the basic interpretation on culture industry of different countries, and finding the common understanding on the cultural industry, discussing the basic conditions and theoretical support of cultural industry development.The third part analyzes the basic situation of culture industry in Japan and South Korea, referring to historical development trajectory and important features of Japan and South Korea,and making a comparative analysis of cultural industry development between the two countries.The fourth part is basic analysis of the culture industry in Liaoning province, adopting the method of quantitative analysis, discussing the competitiveness and economic ripple effects of cultural industry in Liaoning province.The fifth part is based on the objective current situation of cultural industry in Liaoning province, especially based on the analysis results of the fourth part such as the less competitive and weaker economic ripple effects of culture industry in Liaoning province, proposing the path selection of cultural industries revitalization in Liaoning provinceThe last part is the conclusion and outlook of the paper, the conclusion is that developing cultural industry is a inevitable choice for the Old-industrial Base in Northeast China revitalization and the economic and social development in Liaoning province, it has an important strategic significance in promoting the upgrading of the industrial structure, changing "heavy industry" economic development pattern and promoting economic and social development progress.
