This paper explains the definition of Chinese element firstly, and summarizes the development history of Chinese elements which are lie in traditional Japanese art. Contemporary history is a developmental history, points out that the traditional Japanese painting is the collection of Chinese traditional art elements. The second chapter analyzed emphatically Chinese elements of’four mountain’- Kaii Higashiyama, Tatsuo Takayama, Kayama Matazo and Hirayama Ikuo.
