Shaoyang Flower Drum Opera which emerged from the old Shaoyang country is a kind of Hunan folk playlet. It mainly prevailed in some countries and cities, such as Shaoyang, Wugang, Xinshao, Shaodong, Xinning, Dongkou and so on. Shaoyang Flower Drum Opera mainly used the local language of Shaoyang as the language of drama stage. The paper on the basis of field research, in combination with related literature, has been made the detailed research on Shaoyang opera troupe,synthetically using the drama, folklore, sociology, cultural anthropology, other disciplines theory and method.Shaoyang Opera Troupe was built in 1949. It is the highest art level, the most influential and the most complete performance of the troupes. Besides, it is also the only existing stated-owned troupe. Through the development of early built, the stagnation in the Cultural Revolution, and the prosperity and development stage after the reform and open policy, the troupe is now faced with the survival crisis.Shaoyang Opera Troupe is divided into three big parts, including the leadership,the cast and the support staff. The cast which are the three fourths of the troupe members is the basis of the existence of the troupe. There are five members in the leadership. They are in charge of both big and little business of the troupe respectively.There are not too many support crew. They assist the troupe operation and the staffs’ performance. To improve the quality of the troupe rehearsal, shaoyang opera troupe also has special rules and management system which is advantageous to the regulation performance of the troupe. The operating performance of a troupe is diverse. The operating performance forms of Shaoyang opera troupe are mainly the following three types: public welfare performance, business performance, and event performance.As the diversity of culture development, the living space of Shaoyang opera is shrinking gradually.And because of the national opera downturn in the market as a whole, the troupe lost its former glory,.
