The History And Present Situation Of Luo Juan Opera In Deng Zhou

Luo Juan opera is a rare opera which was widely spread in the central part during Ming and Qing dynasties. Luo opera and Juan opera once were played on the same stage. with the development of times and the changes of people's lives , the diversity of aesthetic made Luo Juan opera a relatively isolated and even threatened with extinction. Therefore, the opera is called"panda in operas"by opera artists.It is imperative to protect Luo Juan opera in terms of the current status quo. The author collects the documents and applies field survey method and then combines them with artistic features of Luo Juan opera and the developmetal conditions of plays and players in the opera to. The author begins with the formation and development of Luo Juan opera in Deng Zhou city and further studies the history and present situation of the opera.Except Introduction and Summary , the thesis mainly consists of four parts.Part one is cultural backgroud of Deng Zhou for the heritage of luo Juan opera. The author investigates and analyses the geographical and humane environment of Deng Zhou and gets a general view of the opera that although Luo Juan opera once played a central part in local people's lives, it was neglected and even deserted in daily life with the diversity of lifestyles.Part two is the history of Luo Juan opea in Dengzhou. The author starts with the origin of Luo Juan opea and studies the formation and development of the opera and analyse three important factors that influence the opera , that is , Luo opera, Juan opea and Nuo opera.Part three is the anlysis of the musical features of Luo Juan opera in Deng Zhou.The author makes a sysermatic study of the musical features of Luo Juan opera in Deng Zhou from perspectives of tune, singing, accompanying music , band arrangement and overview of the plays and finds that the popularity of the opera attributes to the straightforward Luo opera and melodious Juan opera and both operas make"wen"and"wu"perfectly together.Sharp reduction of repertoire in the current, from more than 300 traditional repertoire to the current less than 30 plays performed on stage,makes the piay increasingly depressed decline, and even went to the brink of extinction.Part fore is the heritage and reflection of Luo Juan opera in Deng Zhou.Based on the comparison between the distributions of Luo Juan opera in Deng Zhou and the performance places,summarized their organizational structure and transmission spectrum, you can clearly see the development of Deng Zhou Luojuan Drama. Dengzhou Luojuan Drama rose in Yong Zheng period of Qing dynasty ,but disappeared in modern times. Along with the rise of non-material cultural protection, Luo Juan opera in Deng Zhou draws people's attention and its values is confirmed again.
