Everyone has a sense of freedom. This is an unquestionable fact. It’s well known to everyone, but we don’t really know what it is. The sense of freedom can’t provide something more. Nature likes to hide itself. The mystery of freedom was in the twilight. These stimulate the philosophers to explore this problem continually.Freedom is also one of the very basic probably of German philosophers before Schelling, but Schelling believes that they do not really solve it. They only advocate the freedom of pure theory. The real freedom is the ability to do good deeds and evil. Though the re- interpretation of the ontology and theology, Schelling finds the transcendental base and establishes an metaphysics of evil. Finally, We try to catch sight of the meaning of Freiheitsschrift from Schelling on the Essence of Human Freedom. The reality must be got hold of by means of the primordial reality rather than concept. Heidegger knows the Schelling’s freedom from the “essence of ground”which indicates the being. The freedom emerges from the being, so it’s animated.
