The basic semantic is “summary”、“similar” of “dou/ye” in Modern Chinese, in addition also represents emphasized and tactful tone. Through studying the process of the basic semantics to the “dou/ye” tone in Modern Chinese, this tone can be summarized as an anti-expected tone(anti-speaker’s expected, anti- hearer’s expectations, anti- the general idea of expected in society). The process of the basic semantics to the tone is also the process of “dou/ye” bleaching. The process is in common: basic semantics> basic semantics [strong] + Anti-expected [weak]> basic semantics [weak] + Anti-expected [strong]> Anti-expected tone. The article focuses on the process and mechanism of anti-expected tone of “dou/ye” in Modern Chinese. “Dou/Ye” is bleaching in the sentence of “lian”. When “lian” serves as a topic marker, their basic semantics is strong, but the anti-expected tone is weak; When “lian” acts as a focus marker, their basic semantics is weak, but the anti-expected tone is strong; When “lian” is off, they gradually have the same function as “lian” under the infection of the meaning, but only with an anti-expected tone. With “lian” disappearing, the process is also different in the anti-expected tone of “dou/ye” in Modern Chinese. “Dou” is a process of the ingredients of “NP” and “VP” gradually omitted, but “Ye” is a process of the strong degree adverb “tai”、“zhen” gradually replaced. The mechanism and the cause of “dou/ye” bleaching can be explained from these aspects, such as: syntax, pragmatic, cognition, phonetics. It also discusses subjectivity and inter subjectivity of “dou/ye” tone. The subjectivity of “dou/ye” tone is mainly reflected in the speaker’s perspective, affection. The inter subjectivity of “dou/ye” tone is mainly reflected in the subjective feelings from concerning “self” to focusing on “the other side”. Regardless of the reflection of subjectivity and inter subjectivity of “dou/ye” tone, there is a separately connection with “scope” framework and “comparison” framework of “dou/ye”.With “dou/ye” tone appearing in Modern C hinese, the basic semantics is gradually weakened, but the anti-expected tone is gradually strengthen, and finally the anti-expected tone is formed. There is a subjective process during this period. The article individually demonstrates their subjective refection by many examples.
