Impromptu piano accompaniment is the most commonly form which is used by music lovers everyday performance and learning. It is also one of the basic courses of students majoring in music. However, we found that many students, who started learning to play the piano when they were really young, have acquired high skills in playing in the process of songs with accompaniment of piano, but they can not make a harmonious accompaniment even for a simple song. What leads to such a situation? Based on these problems, this essay focuses on analyzing and concluding after making amount of conversations and interviews with the teacher and students,especially the piano accompaniment improvisation researchers. Combining with their own personal experiences of overcoming these problems in learning process,the author made efforts to find the solutions to those problems. In this paper, the author analyzes the association of piano impromptu accompaniment with other subjects and explains the method to cultivate the harmony thinking. The author also elaborates through the study and Practice on the thinking of harmony, the players can gradually go into the right way of learning of harmony thinking in piano impromptu accompaniment, wrong and other non-scientific knowledge will be given up. With the leading of harmony thinking randomness, as well as proper practice,players will perform from a difficult way to an easy one, and finally to get the performance in a free way. Learning piano impromptu accompaniment is no longer a problem. Hopefully, this paper can give some help to those who are interested in learning piano impromptu accompaniment.
