Comparative Study Of Piano Impromptu Accompaniment Teaching Textbooks In Normal University

The goal of music education in higher normal universities is to train qualified basic music teachers for the majority of primary and secondary schools.Although many college students majoring in music education have acquired knowledge of harmony theory and basic knowledge of piano playing,etc.in a few years of study,few students can accomplish well when playing the impromptu accompaniment for simple songs.And not only that,the ability of improvising piano accompaniment will be essential in the music teaching work and mass music activities in elementary and middle schools in the future.This is a necessary teaching skill for music teachers.Therefore,piano impromptu accompaniment courses should be offered in various music colleges and normal universities.Piano impromptu accompaniment is a comprehensive skill that integrates multiple theories and practices such as musicology,composition theory,and piano performance,which has high requirements on students' theoretical level,musical creativity and practical performance,and it is also a test of the comprehensive ability of teachers.Because of the needs of piano impromptu accompaniment teaching in China's normal universities,textbooks have emerged at the right moment.So far,there are more than a hundred kinds of published piano impromptu accompaniment textbooks according to the literature records and online searches,and the contents are also mixed.Teachers or students will inevitably feel dazzled in the face of numerous textbooks are used as the reference of impromptu accompaniment course.Therefore,based on my undergraduate studies of piano impromptu accompaniment textbooks,I select five popular books on the market and aim at higher normal universities to analyze,summarize and study one by one.I hope to present my views on the courses and textbooks in this field and share my research experience.
